Now, many of us get movie rentals regularly. Often we all wait to rent the box office hits, as an alternative to going to the theater. Here is a short list of some of the most popular DVD rentals in October 2008.

One new way people are accessing movies is through movie downloads. There are places online that have downloads of 1,000’s of movies. This is very useful if you’re trying to create a film library.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) returns to action, after a few years off. This is the most recent movie in the Indiana Jones series. In this episode Mr. Jones it’s the cold war, and the Russians are the enemy. The Soviets are looking for some South American relics, which are thought to have secret powers.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Ex con Ben Garvey seems to have gotten his act together. With a loving family, and steady paycheck, life is going in the right direction. Then, he unexplicably loses his steady paycheck, and he finds himself heading back into the criminal world. People die during an attempted robbery, and he is sentenced to death. He expects the lethal injection to kill him. Instead, he regains consciousness only to find himself in a mental hospital. He now fights for his sanity, and his spritual well being.

LINEWATCH: Michael Dixon (Cuba Gooding Jr.) is a respected boarder agent in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Now, things in his past are going to catch up with him. He was part of a violent Los Angeles gang, but he had the courage to leave. When When a chance meeting shows where he lives to his old gang leader, his family is put in a potentially deadly situation. He nust put it all on the line, and make sure that gang leader drake is able to safely get a large supply of drugs across the border.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This film tells us the tale of Dr. Bruce Banner (Edward Norton), who has become the Incredible Hulk because of being hit by gamma rays. This film is an epic tale of the comic character the Hulk. Edward Norton, Tim Roth, William hurt, all have roles in this film. The director is Louis Leterrier. The film style is sci-fi/action-thriller.

DECEPTION: Accountant Jonathan McQuarry meets corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. This is a meeting that will change his life. John is exposed to “The List”, where people find a secret world of sexual extasy. Unfortunately, he also gets caught up in a world of corruption, treason and murder.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: On a quest to find his brother, science professor Trevor Anderson sets out on a journey that puts him on a journey to the center of earth. This is another version of the 1959 film, which was based on the classic novel by Jules Verne. Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers star in this adventure film.

THE HAPPENING: Science teacher Elliot Moore, with his wife and many other frightened people are getting away from the big city. The city has been thrown into chaos. Many people are being overcome by some strange illness, and are dying at their own hands. Can we overcome this problem, or are we witnessing the final acts of the human race?

IRON MAN: Playboy, engineer genius, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is attacked and taken by Afghan insurgents. They try to force him to create weapon systems for the insurgent group. He was wounded while he was being captured, and has metal in his chest. To overcome his wound, and break away from his enemies, he designs a suit of armor, that makes him super strong. We now have another super hero, Iron Man.

SPEED RACER: The 1990’s television cartoon is now a movie hit. Similar to The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned to a movie with an actual cast. Speed Racer is a young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a major rally car race that his older brother lost his live in. Against all odds, and the family business on the line, he partners up with his arch rival Racer X, in an effort to capture the championship, so the family business won’t go under.
